Every summer for the last few years we've gone to Colts camp but this year it started too late for us to go so Dad decided that we would do the tour of Lucas oil stadium instead. We went with my uncle Jeff , my cousin Brice and my Grandpa. We had stayed at our Grandparents house that night and it was pouring that day like crazy and the wind was blowing really hard. Dad went and picked up uncle Jeff and Brice and then came to get us. When we finally got to Lucas oil the rain had let up a little bit so we got our tickets and went in. The stadium was gigantic !!! We go to go down to the field but we couldn't go out on it because they where painting the field.

The seats at each end of the stadium where painted to be a horse shoe, it was pretty neat.

Done and...goodbye

Before I start I need to tell you that the school system is a little different here in Quebec instead of elementary and then high school and then college its primary school(kindergarten through 6th grade) and then what they call secondaire (7th grade through 11th grade)and then cegep for two years and then university. O.K. now that that's said i can get to the story.

Yesterday was my last day of 6th!!! Well actually our last day is Monday but I decided to have my whole class over for a big party to celebrate since my teacher had to go to court (our principal wants to get rid of our teacher because he doesn't like him) on Monday, and we were gonna have to have a substitute. We had a party last night to celebrate with our teacher and to say goodbye to him. We played games and ate pizza and got our year books and report cards. I can't believe it's actually over!

Weekend with Mom

For her fortieth b-day my Mom decided to do a triathlon in Pennsylvania with Dad.So they started to train but my Dad hurt his back in January so he planed to just go and encourage her.But a week before the triathlon Dad re injured his back so he couldn't even go.So Mom decided to take me along with her.On Thursday night of last week I left with Mom and our friend Sara who was going to visit her parents who lived an hour away from our hotel.the trip was 10 hours long but thankfully I had Mom's laptop and a lot of movies!!!When we got there we went to eat at a sub place and headed back to our hotel where Sara's Mom came and picked her up.For super me and Mom went to a pizzeria and I ate the best pizza ever!!! On Saturday me and Mom went to visit the city and to go to the place where the triathlon was gonna be for a first timers conference. On the way out we met two family's who Helped mom with her bike and helped raise her morale! They also offered to stay with me during the triathlon.

Sunday morning we got up and went to the triathlon grounds. There where over one thousand participants!!!The race started at 7:45 with the swim. Mom finished the swim in about a half an hour. The biking was the hardest for her because it was a very hilly course. She finished with the run which she did in a half an hour. That night we decided to go to olive garden to celebrate. We left the next morning and got home at five o'clock. It was a really fun trip that I'll always remember!!!
From left to right,Chuck and Ryan(husbands of the girls I hung out with during the race)Morene(Lady my Mom met the day before)Mom and Pacience(Friend of Morene's).

Guitars,guitars and more guitars

The last couple of years my Dad has been giving me guitar lessons but since it was always getting put off and practice wasn't getting done, my parents paid a professional to give me lessons. I started about 2 months ago and I've really enjoyed it and I've been making progress.
Every Saturday morning I have an hour lesson at this guys house. At first I didn't really want to go but after a couple lessons I started liking it. Since I've started, I've learned 6 songs (four more than I've learned in 2 years!!!). Every day I practice for a half an hour and a couple of weeks ago my Dad said that since I'd been improving he'd let me use this:

My favorite books that I read this year

Here are a few of the best books I've read throughout this year.

(No particular order)

1. Harry Potter and the philospher's stone.

Dad read this to us recently and I loooooved it.

2. Inkspell.

I had read the first book in this series two years ago and my parents gave me this after I lost a tooth. I really liked it.I finished it in 2 weeks(it's a 650 page book!!!)

3.Behind the curtain

This is the second story from a series of 3.It's a great story with a lot of suspence and mystery.

4.Soldier X

At school this year my teacher really got me interested in world war 2 and I read this. It's a story of a German kid who gets sent to war and trades clothes with a dead russian soldier after getting wounded in a battle.

5.Fablehaven

This is a book |I found in a used section in a book store and thoughT it looked interesting and I'm glad I bought it because it turned out to be awesome.

Sorry this is a little late but I thought I would take advantage of my day off from school because I'm sick.On the weekend after my birthday we rented the gym at my school for my birthday party.I invited a few of my friends over for lunch and then we went to the gym and played a game of hockey. Here are some in -action photos of the game.

GOAL!!!
The game finished 10-9 for our team. The winning goal happened with 4 seconds left in the game.
We had a couple of close calls because we were 4 against 5 and we decided to play without a goalie for the last few minutes. One of my friends on the other team shot the ball down towards our goal and fortunately Joel happened to be in our goal and the shot ended up between his legs...SAVE!!!

Thursday hockey outing

On Thursday after school Mom took Joel, Jack and me to the hockey rink for a while before supper. Hockey is my favorite winter activity.I could spend all day out playing if I could.
Here I am getting ready to shoot.
There was another kid and his Dad there and we played for a couple hours with them. The Kid's name was Maxime. He's the one in between me and Joel.
Joel just started learning how to skate and spends most of his time on his behind!
